Season Premiere of the Big Blue podcast where Montreal-based conservatives (some more "capital C" than others discuss recent events in Canadian politics. This week, Jeff Joseph (host) welcomes Dr. Roy Eappen (internal medicine specialist, medical op-ed writer, former provincial political candidate), Robert Presser (op-ed/ghost writer, entrepreneur, former federal political candidate), and, after varying degrees of absence, Christine Maydossian (advisor and former federal and municipal staffer) and Matthew Conway (policy advisor, government relations specialist, former federal and provincial staffer and current Vice-President, Conservative Party of Canada National Council) to the show. We take a look at the events surrounding the Israel-Hamas/Gaza conflict since October 7 with a focus on issue management in Ottawa. Also, with the start of a new year, the group presents some advice on how the Liberals, Conservatives, and NDP might want to consider in terms of messaging and policy before the Parliament resumes after the winter recess.
